Saturday was an action packed day of hunting for specimens in the coal beds of Cherokee County and the Tri-State Mining area. Stops also included Big Brutus and a quarry. Following an evening meal together 4-H'ers competed in a quiz bowl contest and identified specimens they had found during the day.
Sunday the day started with a short devotional and then it was off to the Fredonia area with stops at a quarry and sites containing all kinds of fossils.
